The Bassline Sessions is back to showcase more sound system culture for Sydney!
This edition features Uplifting Sound System all the way from the Gold Coast [QLD], and they'll be stringing up their hand built yellow boxes to shake the rootical foundations of the Northern Beaches. We're running it back at the Northern Beaches bass sanctuary, Manly Spirits Co. Uplifting Sound System Making their epic Sydney debut, Uplifting Sound System is ready to shake the Northern Beaches! Box building originally started in Perth and was completed on the Gold Coast, this heavy sound system is custom-built for pure, authentic foundation roots reggae. Owner-operator Ezzi Roots channels deep inspiration from legends like Burning Spear, Pablo Moses, Sylford Walker, and Barry Brown, fresh off hosting Spain’s heavyweight Jah Life International last year. Having previously witnessed the powerhouse selections of Dub Vader and Tuff Tone Sound System, the Uplifting crew is hyped to finally step up to the control tower and share the arena with them for the first time. Papa Bitcho is a Brazilian MC with flair who is also part of the Roots Recycled Sound System based in the Northern Rivers. Get ready for a historic, high-energy bass link-up when they face off alongside Tuff Tone Sound System at Brookvale Bassline Sessions #6! The setup is simple: Two sounds. One arena.
